In my day to day, I work as a researcher in computational linguistics and social analysis I'm a big fan of words, their meanings and how people use them in different ways! I love hearing unique terminology, like regional dialects and slang, and trying to figure out the context around how it developed :O

Other interests of mine include board games, video games (especially indie ones), anime/manga, and outdoor activities! One of my fav hobbies in the last few years is plant/animal identification using the Seek App from iNaturalist It's an image recognition tool trained on crowdsourced community data and is really fun for learning about your local environment! :)

I'm a big appreciator of indie and community focused creative initiatives, whether that's media (music, comics, games) or tech (open-source software). On both fronts, people are working hard to create things that reflect their values and interests. I'd really love to see more people get into crowdsourced open data projects especially.

A suprising fact about me is that I love horror >:) My favorite subgenres are body horror (not the particularly gory stuff) and cosmic horror. Ideally, these elements can be used to explore themes surrounding ones identity and relationship to others. The other genre I usually read/watch is iyashikei (healing); basically very chill slice of life
